Monday, 9 May 2005Kapa Haka (Traditional Maori Performing Arts)Unlike other indigenous dance forms, kapa haka is unique in the fact that the performers must sing, dance, have expression as well as movement all combined into each item. Kapa Haka could be seen as sign language, as each action has a meaning, which ties in with the words. Shed 5 Restaurant The 2005 annual Paediatrics & Child Health dinner will be held at Shed 5 Restaurant. Shed 5 was originally built in 1888 as a woolstore and is one of the oldest remaining wharf stores in Lambton Harbour. Situated right on Queens Wharf just minutes from the Convention Centre. Prior to the dinner, the a cappella choir of paediatricians will join again to bring you soulful harmonies whilst you are enjoying the company of colleagues and the beautiful view of the Harbour.
