| To give focus and coordinate
safety and quality activities across the College the
Council established the Better
Practice Coordinating Committee (BPCC) in December 2001.
The Better Practice Coordinating
Committee is involved
in, or working on, projects relating to quality and
safety of health care in Australia.
Membership of the Committee is comprised of a small
expertised based group that brings a wide perspective
and advice to the College. It also means that the College
is better able to appropriately respond to and participate
in the wider quality and safety debate in Australia
and internationally.
The BPCC operates within Terms
of Reference and reports
to Council through the Divisions. Committee
members may take on time limited specific projects with appointed
working groups.
The BPCC also has Corresponding
Members to ensure
effective communication with the major structural groups
and committees within the College.
