The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) is now holding the Queensland State Committee Elections for 2014, and is calling for nominations for elected committee positions.
The Queensland State Committee has 4 vacancies for elected members. Members can be Fellows of any of the RACP Divisions, Faculties or Chapters.
Nominations for these positions are on a ‘self-nomination' basis, anyone interested in being a part of the committee should send their completed nomination form to email@example.com by close of business on Wednesday, 5th March 2014. A nomination form is available here.
Should we receive more nominations than available positions; elections for these positions will be held in April 2014.

The 2014 QLD Clinical Examination Preparation Program (CEPP) is designed to provide participants with a framework for effective exam preparation and key knowledge and breadth in subspecialties.
The CEPP consists of a series of Thursday Evening Updates (8 - 29 May) and a Crash Course Weekend (3-4 May). The cost of the entire course is $200 (incl. GST) and includes access to recorded presentations online and course notes.
Registrations for the CEPP will open on Friday 14 March.

HEAL aims to increase knowledge and awareness of bioethical and health law issues, promote interdisciplinary understanding and provide opportunities for collaboration.
Presentations are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month.
Supper is available from 6.00pm with presentation/s starting from 6.30pm.
Presentation/s will be approximately 1 hour duration followed by half an hour of discussion time.
Home venue is the E. S. Myers Lecture Theatre at the UQ School of Medicine but venue will be confirmed each month.
Entry to Monthly Symposiums is free, no RSVP usually required.
Queensland Fellows are invited to express their interest in providing specialist outreach services to rural, remote and urban communities across Queensland. General Practice Queensland (GPQ) is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to support five specialist outreach programs which aim to increase access to medical specialist services for high needs populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
