The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) is now holding the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Committee Elections for 2013, and is calling for nominations for elected committee positions.
The ACT Committee has four vacancies for elected members. Members can be Fellows of any of the RACP Divisions, Faculties or Chapters.
Nominations for these positions are on a ‘self-nomination' basis, anyone interested in being a part of the committee should send their completed nomination form to ACT.StateCommittee@racp.edu.au by close of business on Wednesday 6th of March 2013.
Should we receive more nominations than available positions, elections for these positions would be held in March / April 2013. Please note; this is a newly created committee and the initial term will be for one (1) year.
The RACP Australian Capital Territory Regional Committee - Overview:
The RACP Board endorsed the ACT Committee By-laws on December 7th 2012. The ACT committee is being established to;
• advance the interests of the College in the ACT;
• facilitate the engagement of Fellows in the ACT in the activities of the College;
• in conjunction with other College Bodies and College staff, support the professional careers of Fellows and Trainees of the College in the ACT and
• work with appropriate College Bodies and staff in connection with:
-education, training and assessment of trainees;
-training and continual professional development; and
-policy and advocacy.
