Knowledge
  • anatomy, histology and developmental features of the skin, hair and nails
  • pigmentary, inflammatory and immune responses of the skin
  • common skin conditions eg. eczema, psoriasis, vascular lesions, naevi, other congenital conditions and infections
  • dermatological manifestations of systemic disease.

Skills
  • history and physical examination
  • use of the dermatoscope
  • management of common skin conditions.
