General Objectives

Teaching
During Basic Training you are expected to teach medical students, junior medical staff and other health professionals who are in the course of their training. Teaching will normally include bedside tutorials, small group discussions and larger group presentations. Whilst some material will be well known to you, preparation will usually be required. You are encouraged to attend courses outlining principles of adult learning and effective presentation techniques when they are available and to seek feedback from more senior clinicians about your teaching skills periodically.
