Library Services
All Fellows and Trainees are welcome to use the History of Medicine Library. Membership is also available to the general public. Because of the Library's layout, and the small number of staff, it is preferable to make an appointment.
Information ServiceWe can provide historical information, from background to lectures, published papers or books. Our staff will search electronic and printed sources for you, or refer you to resources that you can access.
BorrowingFellows, Trainees and members may borrow items from the Library, except those which are rare, fragile or published before 1850.
PhotocopyingPhotocopying of material from the collection can be performed by staff. Charges may apply.
Library Lecture Series
Presentations devoted to exploring the history and development of medicine. Transcripts of Library Lectures will also be added after the lecture has taken place.
Early Medicine - A Catalogue of Books (chiefly medical) printed before 1801, now in the History of Medicine Library.
