Research and Education Foundation

There are few causes more worthy of our support than research designed to eliminate or alleviate human suffering. The Royal Australasian College of Physicians acknowledged the importance of this endeavour in its charter of 1938, and since then has been actively supporting medical research fellowships.

Research and Education Foundation
In 1991 the need to further enhance the College funding

for medical research led to the formation of the Research and Education Foundation. The generosity of donors from the College fellowship, the corporate sector and individual benefactors has enabled the Foundation to continue to support worthy individuals in their research across a diversity of disciplines, and with some outstanding results.

I hope you can take time to find out more about the Foundation by looking through this section of the website. We encourage you to become a supporter of the work of the Foundation. Your contribution will assist a new generation of physicians in their medical research and education and ultimately the health and wellbeing of the community at large.
