What Areas of Research are Supported?
The Awards scheme covers all areas of internal medicine and paediatrics relevant to physicians. In addition, some awards are for specific research, such as the causes and prevention of cancer, rheumatic diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases (including HIV), melanoma, diseases associated with ageing, immunology, neurology and nephrology.
