The Child Development and Behaviour Special Interest Group (CDBSIG) is for doctors working primarily in the clinical field of child development and behaviour. The purpose of the group is to enable communication between group members in order to better assist and support children and young people (and their families) with, or at risk of developmental/behavioural problems.

The group has four primary goals:

  1. Professional Support: to support medical practitioners working
within Australia and New Zealand in the fields of Child Development and Behaviour.
  2. Clinical Practice: to promote quality and excellence in clinical care.
  3. Teaching and Training: to promote knowledge of child development
    clinical issues, services and strategies.
  4. Advocacy: to advocate for child development health services.
