Child Protection

Welcome to the RACP Child Protection Special Interest Group website.

The Child Protection Special Interest Group is a collective of doctors interested in the field of child protection. Membership is open to all doctors regardless of qualifications and experience. Interests range from the forensic evaluation of children's injuries to concern for vulnerable and disadvantaged children. This philosophical approach reflects the RACP policy "Child Protection is Everyone's Business".

If you have an interest in Child Protection, whether this is a clinical interest in the evaluation of suspected child abuse or an interest in policies and services that relate to disadvantaged children, please consider this invitatoin to join the Child Protection SIG. Fellows of the RACP may contact Anne Piper directly at anne.piper@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au for inclusion on the email newslist. Doctors who do not hold the FRACP qualifications may contact Colin Borg at colin.borg@racp.edu.au for details and application forms for membership of the Chapter of Community Child Health and the Child Protection Special Interest Group.
