Trainees' Committee

Go to Trainees Cafe websiteThe Bi-National Trainees' Committee (formerly known as the RACP Trainees' Committee) was formed in 2003 and has evolved into an integral part of College life.

The Committee is seen as the voice of Trainees. It has been involved in advocating for Trainees in all aspects of College life, including changes to the examination process, providing substantial input to the Education Strategy and administering the Trainee Forum at the RACP Congress.

The Committee is comprised of elected representatives from the Divisions, Faculties and Chapters of the College from Australia and New Zealand. Positions on the Committee are open to all Trainees.

Trainee participation within College life has increased dramatically since the inception of the Trainees' Committee with representatives from the Bi-National Trainees' Committee sitting on most College Committees.  In addition, there are many other roles that exist for Trainees within the College structure, including being part of local (State-based) Trainees' Committees in Australia and New Zealand.

This is an extremely exciting time for the College, with many changes occurring that are particularly relevant to Trainees, who ARE the future leaders of the RACP. We encourage all Trainees to become involved in College activities.
