Advanced Training Requirements

The College Handbook

Requirements for Physician Training is the College handbook for the Physician Training Program. It contains:

• general information
• administrative instructions
• policy and guidelines for the training program.

The Advanced Training section of the handbook covers two areas:

• Generic program requirements
• Subspecialty requirements

Compliance with the handbook

Trainees must comply with the hand book current at the time they commence the first year of Advanced Training. Trainees undertaking dual training (training in more than one subspecialty) comply with the training requirements in place when they commenced the first year of training in that subspecialty.
