There are two approaches to assessment in the PREP Training Programs
Formative assessments are conducted throughout the training program as a means to provide feedback on progress and assist trainees with their future learning.
Formative assessments do not require a 'pass' to progress to the next stage of training and are designed to aid the learning through the provision of formal feedback.
For more information on the formative assessment tools used in the Basic Training Program (and to be adapted for the PREP Advanced Training Program), go to the Basic Training Portal
Summative Assessments are conducted at the end of the training program and do require a ‘pass’ to progress to the next stage of training or receive the FRACP (or Faculty equivalent) status level.
See the Basic Training Portal for more information about PREP Basic Training Assessment
See the Assessments page for more information about Advanced Training Assessment.
See the respective Faculty or Chapter for information about their respective assessment requirements.
