PREP Basic Trainees are classified as those who commenced Basic Training in 2008 or later.
Training requirements for PREP Basic Training are detailed in the 2012 PREP Basic Training Program Requirement Handbooks for Adult Medicine and Paediatrics & Child Health.
These handbooks will be updated and published annually to ensure that the requirements for PREP Basic Training are in line with educational best practice. It is the trainee's responsibility to ensure that they are following the correct guidelines for that training year.

*The first time you load the web browser and access your specialty handbook using a mobile device, it is recommended that you do so over a Wi-Fi network; the first viewing may be slower when accessed from a 3G network. After your initial access, a temporary file will be stored to your device which will enable faster access over a 3G network.
The PREP Basic Training Program Requirement Handbooks are to be read in conjunction with the respective Basic Training curriculum.
Pre-PREP Basic Trainees are classified as those who commenced Basic Training prior to 2008.
Pre-PREP trainees should refer to the training requirements which were applicable at the commencement of their first year of Basic Training.
