Training Requirements

Requirements for Physician Training is the College handbook for the Physician Training Program. It contains general information, administrative instructions, policy and guidelines for the training program.

The handbook is revised regularly and trainees must comply with the book current at the time they commence the first year of basic training. After completion of basic training, trainees must comply with the handbook current at the time they commence their first year of advanced training.

For example, a trainee who commenced basic training in 2002, follows the 2000 handbook for the duration of their basic training. They then comply with the 2004 handbook during advanced training, having commenced their advanced training in 2005.

To determine which version of the handbook applies to you, see the table below. You can click on the titles to access each document.
