General Information Location of Training Basic training takes place in hospitals accredited by the Committee for Paediatric Physician Training (CPPT) as suitable for basic training. The accreditation level of the hospital is determined on the basis of the clinical experiences, facilities and training program available for trainees. The CPPT determines the suitability of the hospital by site visits and by obtaining feedback from a Director of Paediatric Physician Training (DPPT), and from the basic and advanced trainees at the site. Basic training shall be undertaken in the following categories of hospitals. Level 3 Teaching Hospitals (Australia and New Zealand)
