The FRACP Examination (cont...) The Written Examination Application for the Written Examination Trainees may apply to sit for the examination in paediatric medicine following the satisfactory completion of 24 months of basic training, or its full time equivalent, or later. Approval of basic training by the CPPT is necessary before trainees are permitted to take the examination. The application form must contain details of basic training that has been verified and signed by the relevant DPPT. Forms are available from the DPPT, the Examination Section of the College in Australia or the College office in New Zealand. The closing dates for applications to sit for the Written Examination each year are on the College website under Important Dates for Trainees*. *You will need to be a member
of the RACP to access this section of the website, if you don't have a password

for access. Fees A fee is payable at the time of application for the Written Examination. Locations and Date of Examination The Written Examination is usually held on the first Tuesday in March in all capital cities of Australia, the 5 main centres of New Zealand and in such other centres as may be determined from time to time. The date for the next Written Examination is published in RACP News and under Important Dates for Trainees* in the Training & Examinations section of the College website, or is available from the Examinations Section of the College in Australia or the College office in New Zealand. *You will need to
