Consultant Paediatrician

Description

This role will provide specialist paediatric services for CGHS as an effective team member within the Paediatric Unit consistent with approved scope of practice and CGHS paediatrics capability.

Duties include:

perform at the level of Specialist paediatrician to provide safe, comprehensive paediatric care
provide clinical and professional leadership
work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team
provide consultative and paediatric management support to clinicians in other specialities
provide supervision and training to interns, registrars and other junior medical staff

Essential qualifications

A primary medical qualification registrable with the Medical Practitioners Board (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or other postgraduate clinical training, qualifications and experience in Paediatrics assessed by the College as suitable for this position.
Demonstrated high level expertise and experience in the delivery of paediatric services
All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate and obtaining a Working with Children Check.
