Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position working 76 hours per fortnight.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology, who will work as part of the Department of Acute Medicine across the North West region.

The position involves management of patients in General Gastroenterology, IBD, chronic liver disease, and both diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy. Experience in capsule endoscopy would be highly regarded.

The right applicant will play a key role in developing health care at both patient and system levels. The successful candidate will provide specialist diagnosis, treatment and care for public patients. They will provide a consultative service in Gastroenterology to other disciplines and to both hospitals within the Department of Health – North West.

Please note only Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) candidates can be considered for this position. 

Essential qualifications

• Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
• Current Driver's Licence
