This vacancy is to cover an extended leave.

As a Rehabilitation Specialist Consultant, you will:

• participate in all aspects of the medical care of rehabilitation patients/clients across a range of settings, including acute inpatient, in-reach, ambulatory and community rehabilitation services.
• be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• be actively involved in research and undertake quality improvement activities

Details of appointment

Fixed term full-time or part time day work (with on-call), working up to 76 hours per fortnight starting as soon as possible until 26 June 2026 (note: applications will be considered for all or part of this time frame).

Salary Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award A remuneration package comprising the agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.

Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $216,300 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $296,640 with further salary increments available. Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.

Requirements 

• specialist registration; or
• is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or
• is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
