RACP NHMRC Awards for Excellence

The RACP are committed to developing vital research in health and social policies which deliver improvements to the wellbeing of patients.

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has worked to build a healthy Australia through fostering health and medical research since its inception in 1936. Their support has funded discoveries and advancements in health and medicine have helped make our population healthier and reduce disease and suffering.

The NHMRC and the RACP have partnered to support our top young clinical researchers with an Award for Excellence, as part of a shared commitment to nurture the next generation of medical researchers.

The Award
  • Each recipient receives $10,000 per annum for up to three years from the RACP Foundation.
  • The Award is in addition to the recipients NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship.
How to apply
  • Applications are made solely through the NHMRC application process.
  • To be considered, applicants must tick the appropriate check box on the NHMRC form at the time of their application for NHMRC funding.

RACP NHMRC CRB Blackburn Scholarship

Offered by the RACP in recognition of the contribution of Dr CRB Blackburn to the activities of the College.

RACP NHMRC Kincaid-Smith Scholarship

Offered by the RACP in recognition of the contribution of Professor Priscilla Kincaid-Smith to the activities of the College.

RACP NHMRC J J Billings Scholarship

Offered by the RACP in recognition of the contribution of Dr J J Billings to the activities of the College.

RACP NHMRC Woolcock Scholarship

Offered by the RACP in recognition of the contribution of Professor Ann Woolcock to the activities of the College.

RACP PCHD NHMRC Award for Excellence

The Scholarship is made possible through funds provided by the Fellows of the Paediatric & Child Health Division.

RACP Jacquot NHMRC Award for Excellence

Two scholarships are awarded to Fellows and trainees in nephrology at the discretion of the Jacquot Selection Committee following nomination of prospective recipients by the NHMRC.

These Scholarships are made possible by a bequest from Mrs Lorraine Jacquot.
