The Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation (AFRM) are pleased to be able to offer a range of prizes and awards specifically for Fellows and trainees of the Faculty. These are funded by donations from the membership and income from the ASM.

The AFRM Ipsen Poster Prize $1000

This prize is made possible due to the generosity of Ipsen Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd and is awarded for the best scientific paper or poster on Neurological Rehabilitation by a Trainee (or "new" Fellow) at the RMSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting.

The AFRM Adrian Paul Prize $1,000

The Adrian Paul Prize is an annual prize awarded for the best scientific work in the field of rehabilitation medicine that is submitted as part of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) training program.

The Australasian College of Rehabilitation Medicine established the Adrian Paul Prize in 1986 based on a donation from Mrs Nancy Paul, the widow of Dr Adrian Paul, the Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Royal Alfred Hospital. 

AFRM Basmajian and Györy Prize $1,000

The Basmajian Prize is awarded to the trainee for Best Performance in the Fellowship Clinical Examinations (Adult) and presented at the AFRM Annual Scientific Meeting or College Congress.  

AFRM Paediatric Merit Award $1,000

The AFRM Paediatric Merit Award is awarded to the trainee for Best Performance in the Fellowship Clinical Examinations (Paediatric) and presented at the AFRM Annual Scientific Meeting or College Congress.
