Summary

The Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) Training Committee (FTC) seeks a Trainee representative to join the Committee.

Description

The FTC oversees the OEM training program, including managing program requirements and dealing with trainee issues. Key responsibilities of the committee include:

  • assessment of Advanced Training in OEM, including approval and certification of training, review of training progress and requirements, and advise on OEM training matters
  • review of training settings for Advanced Training in OEM
  • review and development OEM training program requirements
  • review of the Advanced Training Curriculum in OEM when required

Key responsibilities

  • facilitate communication between the FTC and Advanced Trainees in OEM
  • advise the FTC on training matters in line with relevant College education policies and guidelines.

Members are appointed to the FTC for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew a further term, or until the trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship. 

The FEC holds one face-to-face meeting in Sydney and 3 videoconferences per year. Additional meetings may be scheduled in exceptional circumstances.
