The Committee oversees Advanced Training in General and Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and its key responsibilities are to:

• implement College Education Policy as approved by the College Education Committee in the Faculty
• implement the College’s Strategic Direction in relation to education in the Faculty
• ensure standardisation in training delivery
• ensure all forms of assessment are conducted fairly, efficiently, in a transparent manner, and in accordance with standards
• ensure accreditation is conducted fairly, efficiently, in a transparent manner and in accordance with standards
• advise the College Education Committee on education policy and program development for the Faculty Training program, as appropriate
• consider speciality specific Continuing Professional Development and other educational resources for members, as appropriate
• work collaboratively with stakeholders on education development and delivery
• monitor training program requirements and curricular, recommending changes to the College Education Committee
• confirm completion of training requirements to progress to Fellowship
• undertake other functions as required by the Faculty Council or Board — this may include acting as a Review Committee pursuant to the Reconsideration, Review and Appeal By-Law and/or independently considering subordinate committee decisions relating to individual trainee or Fellow progress

The Committee holds 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney and 3 video conferences a year.

Members are appointed to the Committee for a 3-year term, with the option to renew a further term.
