The Training Committee in Sexual Health Medicine is seeking expressions of interest for a New Zealand (NZ) Representative Appointed Member/s to become a member of the TCSHM.

Description

The TCSHM is currently seeking expressions of interest for the following Appointed Member:

  • Member | starting April 2025

The TCSHM is comprised of Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine (AChSHM) Fellows across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia that volunteer their services to oversee the Advanced Training Program in Sexual Health Medicine.

Some of the Committee’s responsibilities involve:

  • monitoring and reviewing training program requirements and curricula in consultation with relevant stakeholders and recommending changes to the Training Committee
  • assessing individual trainee progress in Sexual Health Medicine, including assessing various types of applications such as training applications and applications for Recognition of Prior Learning
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees as appropriate, in accordance with college policies and procedures
  • review of Advanced Training Research Projects and Logbooks
  • review of Advanced Training settings in Sexual Health Medicine, including conducting site accreditation visits and reviewing site accreditation applications

Members are appointed on the Committee for a term of 3 years, for a maximum of 6 years.

The Committee meets 4 times per year, with 3 teleconferences and 1 face-to-face meeting at the College in Sydney.

The College covers the agreed travel and accommodation costs of all Committee Members. Additional teleconferences may be required for urgent issues.
