One of the main roles of the ATC in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine is to monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in Australia.
There is currently 1 vacant Adult Advanced Trainee Representative position on the ATC. This is a great opportunity for Adult Trainees who are willing to represent current Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Advanced Trainees and the training program. In this role, you will help shape the physicians of the future and positively contribute to the direction, workforce and culture of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in Australia.
You'll be involved in reviewing and monitoring of the training program requirements, assessment and curricula in consultation with the relevant Specialty Society(ies) and other stakeholders, and recommend changes to the College Education Committee. Other key responsibilities include:
The Committee holds 1 face-to-face meeting (usually in November) and a further video conference a year.
Members are appointed to the ATC for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further term.
