Support Cardiology Trainees by reviewing their Advanced Training Research Project

Date published: Jul 26, 2024, 10:33 AM

Summary

Expressions of Interest are open for Cardiologist Fellows to join the Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Cardiology and participate in the review of Advanced Training Research Projects

Description

The ATC is seeking your assistance to expand the current reviewer pool for the Advanced Trainee Research Project (ATRP). This will ease the workload on current reviewers and accelerate feedback for Advanced Trainees.

The ATRP is an Advanced Training requirement for Fellowship eligibility.

You'll assess projects using specified marking criteria (DOC) and guidelines accessible on the PREP Cardiology Handbook. Refer to the “training requirement” tab for specifics.

What will your commitment be?

Review up to 3 research projects annually, or alternatively, specify the number of projects you can review. Each research project is assigned to 2 reviewers, and it usually takes 1-2 hours for assessment per review. The research project has a 3000 to 5000-word limit, depending on the type of research.

We appreciate your time and dedication to trainees. We understand that you may not always be available; therefore, feel free to advise how frequently you wish to receive assessments and notify us if you are unable to assist for any period of time.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credit

Marking 1 project can earn you 2 CPD credits under category 2.
