Calling Advanced Trainees in Immunology and Allergy

Summary

The Committee for Joint College Training (CJCT) in Immunology and Allergy seeks applications from Immunology and Allergy Advanced Trainees to join the CJCT as the Advanced Trainee Representative.

Description

There will be one vacancy, to begin in 2025.

The CJCT represents the RACP Adult Medicine Division Education Committee and the RCPA Board of Education and Assessment for those advanced training matters pertaining to the RACP and RCPA, respectively.

CJCT key responsibilities:

  • monitor and assess individual trainee progress in immunology and allergy in accordance with both RACP and RCPA policies and procedures
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in immunology and allergy
  • accredit advanced training sites or programs in immunology and allergy
  • assess recognition of prior learning
  • monitor and review training program requirements, assessment and curricula in consultation with the relevant stakeholders, and recommend changes to the relevant committees in each College
  • advise on assessment and resource content
  • advise on matters relating to overseas trained physicians
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in immunology and allergy for RACP and RCPA Fellows who have not completed the Immunology and Allergy Advanced Training program

The CJCT holds 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney and up to 3 video conferences a year.

Members are appointed to the CJCT for an initial 3-year term, with the option to renew a further term, or until advanced training is completed (whichever is the earlier of the two).
