In accordance with our Gender Equity in Medicine and Membership Diversity principles, we actively promote and encourage diverse representation in all College activities.
The College recognises that trainees, as future Fellows of the College, have a very important role in the College’s training program. As such, the College involves trainees in all aspects of its complex governance as representatives of their fellow trainees.
This is a great opportunity if you are willing to share your perspectives from a trainee’s view as you will assist in communication between the CJCT and Advanced Trainees.
Being an Advanced Trainee (AT) Representative will also allow you to be involved and understand how the training committee make decisions to support individual trainees’ progression throughout the course of their training.
Overall, the roles/responsibilities of the Trainee Representative include but are not limited to:
The CJCT holds 1 face-to-face meeting (usually in March) and up to 3 video conferences a year.
Members are appointed to the Committee for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew for a further term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
