One of the main roles of the CJCT in PEM is to monitor and assess individual trainee progress in PEM for Australasia.
There's currently 1 Fellow position vacant on the Training Committee in the role of Appointed Member. This is a great opportunity for Fellows who are willing to support current PEM Advanced Trainees and the training program.
In this role, you'll help shape the physicians of the future and positively contribute to the direction, workforce and culture of PEM in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
You’ll be involved in reviewing and monitoring training program requirements, assessment and curricula with input from the relevant specialty societies and other stakeholders. You’ll also recommend changes to the CEC, via the Paediatrics Division Education Committee.
Other key responsibilities include:
Meetings are held 4 times per year with 1 face-to-face meeting in either Sydney or Melbourne, usually held in November.
Members are appointed to the CJCT for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further term.
