In accordance with our Gender Equity in Medicine and Membership Diversity principles, we actively promote and encourage diverse representation in all College activities.
The National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry, established in May 2024 and led by the Australian Department of Health and Aged Cares, is gathering data on both mandatory notifications of silicosis diagnoses and voluntary notifications of other occupational respiratory diseases. The registry's goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate preventable occupational respiratory diseases in Australia while enhancing understanding of these conditions.
Note: the frequency of meetings is yet to be determined.
