Retirement and CPD
If you have retired from all forms of practice and no longer hold active Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Medical Council New Zealand (MCNZ) registration, then you do not have a CPD requirement.
If the College is unaware of your retirement, please notify the CPD unit and you will be withdrawn from the MyCPD program. This means that you will still have access to the MyCPD program to use if you wish, but you will no longer have a CPD requirement with the College.
Retired Fellows who maintain their specialist AHPRA/MCNZ registration are advised to check their CPD requirements with the CPD unit.
For the purposes of the RACP CPD Participation Policy, practice is not restricted to the provision of direct clinical care. It also includes using professional knowledge in a direct nonclinical relationship with clients, working in management, administration, education, research, advisory, regulatory or policy development roles, and any other roles that impact on safe, effective delivery of services in the profession.
