Smoking-related illnesses are a known burden in rural Australia, particularly in Aboriginal communities. Often these communities have little access to addiction medicine specialists. To help meet present and projected demand for CPD materials in this area, this eLearning module focuses on smoking cessation for patients with complex disorders.
This module includes of five cases. Each case consists of statistics, expert feedback, multiple-choice, true/false and short answer questions to assist with your learning.
1. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (30 min)
2. Depression (1.5 hours)
3. Pregnant, Indigenous teenager (30 min)
4. Alcohol dependence (1.5 hours)
5. Harm-reduction/Schizophrenia (30 min)
RACP Continuing Professional Development
Participation in these activities can be claimed in the MyCPD program under Category 3: Self Assessment Programs at 2 credits per hour.
