New Basic Training Program

The new Basic Training Program is a hybrid of time and competency-based training. There is a minimum requirement for trainees to complete three years of full-time equivalent clinical experience.

The curricula standards outline what trainees are expected to be (Competencies), know (Knowledge Guides) and do (Entrustable Professional Activities). These are supported by learning, teaching and assessment programs.

New Basic Training Handbooks

The Basic Training program handbooks for early adopter trainees can be accessed on the learning resources platform. Please note the requirements outlined in these handbooks only impact trainees.
