Oral Health in Australia

This presentation will provide an overview of oral health in Australia from a public health perspective. It will cover:

  • the epidemiology of oral health disease
  • risk factors for poor oral health
  • the relationship between oral health and other key medical conditions of public health importance and
  • how oral health services are funded and delivered in Australia

Please note this will be held from 2pm – 3pm AEST.


Dr Marianne Gale is a public health physician working in the office of the chief health officer at the NSW Ministry of Health. As part of her role, she works closely with NSW public dental services and contributes to national processes to improve access to oral health care in Australia.
