The Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists presents a full-day seminar addressing key concepts for the recognition, evaluation and control of respirable crystalline silica (RCS) in workplaces.

Speakers Linda Apthorpe, Senior Occupational Hygienist of Hibbs & Associates Pty Ltd and Ian Firth, Principal Consultant & Director of IC Firth OHs Solutions Pty Ltd, will present on practical and relevant information across the:

  • occurrence of RCS
  • health effects of RCS
  • exposure standards for RCS
  • exposure risk and incidence of disease
  • sampling and analytical methods
  • control of RCS exposure
  • future of RCS

The seminar also includes a case study exercise and practical information for occupational hygienists and safety professionals to reinforce the major learning outcomes.
