Spotlight on private practice

Establishing a private practice was the focus of a forum attended by 48 members in Sydney in September.

Dr Kathryn Forwood, a haematology trainee, accessed the forum with other trainees via video link from a hospital in Canberra. She says she wanted to learn more about the possibilities of private practice work.

“It was great to hear about the varied experiences in private practice of the presenters, especially the little pearls of wisdom that they have learnt through experience,” she explains.

“I also found the financial planning session helpful. It is useful to consider these aspects prior to entering private practice.”

RACP Regional Offices regularly run various events, like the private practice forum, for Members. Visit our RACP Events web page or keep an eye out in the  eBulletins for more details.
