Value Proposition and Faculty Narrative
AFRM Council members approved the final version of the AFRM Value Proposition and Faculty Narrative. The document incorporates the Council members discussions at the AFRM Strategic Planning Day in addition to consultations with the wider membership sought via direct email messages.
AFRM Work Plan 2019-2020
AFRM Council approved the final version of the AFRM Work Plan which reflects the core goals discussed at the AFRM Strategic Planning Day. In the new year, The Faculty Office in consultation with the AFRM Executive Committee, will be developing a complementary implementation plan that allows for more detail and allows Council to closely track the progress we are making on our initiatives.
Faculty Policy and Advocacy Committee (FPAC) Activities
The final NSW Health: Model Scopes of Clinical Practice Projects - Rehabilitation Medicine (Adult Medicine) document
is now available online. AFRM policies currently under review include AFRM Position Statement on Stem Cell Therapy for Children with Cerebral Palsy.
Faculty Education Committee (FEC) Activities
The Faculty Education Committee welcomes three new members: Dr Michael Ponsford (Lead Fellow – Physician Education), Dr Louisa Ng (Lead Fellow – Teaching & Learning) and Dr Adam Scheinberg (Lead – Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine). Dr Caitlin Anderson has accepted the position of Committee Lead for Curricula Renewal (General Rehabilitation).
There will be changes to the CPD program
AFRM Trainee Committee Activities
The ATM will be held over the weekend of 16-17 March 2019, at the Governor Macquarie Tower RACP Offices in Sydney. Supervisors are advised to encourage their trainees to attend this valuable event.
