Advanced Training Program Requirements are evaluated every two years to ensure that they are in line with educational best practice.

Your feedback is essential in helping shape the future of Advanced Training and ensuring that program requirements are current, fair and rigorous across Australia and New Zealand.

Australia and New Zealand alignment

Advanced Training Committees have been asked to align Australian and New Zealand programs or to provide a country-specific rationale for ongoing differences.

Advanced Training Curricula Renewal

The biennial program requirements review is a separate process to the Advanced Training Curricula Renewal currently underway.

  • General and Acute Care Medicine – Australia
  • General and Acute Care Medicine – New Zealand
  • Geriatric Medicine
  • Infectious Diseases and Microbiology

The 2021-22 PREP Advanced Training Program handbooks will be published in early 2020.
