Purpose

The Workplace Learning Planner is designed for trainees and supervisors who want to extract specific content from the curricula standards to supplement study or as a reference resource during feedback discussions.

A trainee undertaking a Cardiology rotation may receive some feedback that they could improve their communication skills taking a history. The extract tool will allow the trainee or Supervisor to focus on the relevant elements within the standards. In this case, you may wish to look at the Competency of Communication, EPA 2: Communications with patients, and, if necessary, the Knowledge Guide on Cardiology. This search can be exported and the extract can be used by the Supervisor or trainee as appropriate.
