Medical Benefits Schedule Review
In April 2015, the Australian Government announced a review of the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS).The MBS Review Taskforce is considering the more than 5,700 items currently listed on the MBS.
The RACP supports re-orienting the MBS to better reflect the needs of our community and contemporary clinical practice, and welcomes the opportunity to re-engineer Australia’s health system to support high-value care.
The Board’s MBS Review Working Party coordinates the RACP’s response to the various Clinical Committee Reports of the MBS Review Taskforce.
