Dr David Thomas FRACP | Chair
David is a general paediatrician and the Head of General Medicine at Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide. He has completed a Master in Education. David has been involved extensively in College committees, most recently as Co-Chair of the working group reviewing the Basic Training Curricula, Chair of the Paediatrics & Child Health Division Education Committee and as a member of the College Education Committee. He has 15 years’ experience as a Director of Paediatric Education and is a senior examiner for the RACP Clinical Examination. David was an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics at the Fiji National University in Lautoka in 2019.

Dr Raffaela Armiento FRACP
Raffaela is a general paediatrician at Werribee Mercy Hospital, Melbourne. In her quality improvement role of After Hours Project Fellow at the Royal Children's Hospital, Raffaela works to improve hospital systems out-of-hours, particularly for Junior Medical Staff. Raffaela is interested in medical education, having completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education in 2018 and was a Clinical Teaching Fellow with the University of Melbourne in 2019. She is passionate about supervision, education and mentorship of trainees. Raffaela coordinated trainee lecture series and the RACP Paediatric Clinical Examination at Sunshine Hospital as an Advanced Trainee.

Dr Chloë-Maryse Baxter FRACP
Chloë is a general paediatrician and a Professional Practice tutor at Melbourne University. She completed the Master of Health Professions Education at Maastricht University in 2003. Chloë is actively involved in several RACP committees, including the College Education Committee, Paediatric Division Assessment Committee and the Curriculum Review Group for Paediatric Cardiology. She is also the former Interim Lead Physician, Medical Education at the College and brings a wealth of experience and specialist skills in education to the Group.

 Associate Professor Jon Ho Chan FAFRM
Jon is a rehabilitation medicine physician at Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Chief Wellbeing Practitioner, leading the organisational response to optimising staff wellbeing at the South Metropolitan Health Service in Perth. He has been involved in medical education at undergraduate and prevocational levels and is a Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Western Australia Clinical School. Jon is a member of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) Council, is the Chair of the AFRM WA Regional Committee and is the lead in CPD and curriculum renewal on the AFRM Education Committee. He has a particular interest in workplace-based assessment, accreditation and the assessment of professionalism.

Dr Nalin Dayawansa FRACP
Nalin was awarded his FRACP in Cardiology in 2021, and is currently a Research & Interventional Fellow at Alfred Health, Melbourne. He is an adjunct lecturer and PhD candidate at Monash University, conducting research in the pathophysiology of aortic valve stenosis at the Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute. Nalin has an active role in teaching Basic Physician Trainees, and as a recent trainee is interested in ensuring curriculum and accreditation standards reflect the ever-changing requirements of specialist training and practice.

Dr Melanie Fentoullis FRACP
Melanie is a consultant general paediatrician. She has completed a Master of Medical Education and is a senior lecturer (Clinical Education Fellow) with the University of New South Wales. Melanie has been a member of the Paediatrics & Child Health Division Education Committee and Paediatrics & Child Health Division Council. She has a range of educational interest areas including innovative teaching practices that effectively utilise evidence-based and digital resources and the teaching and assessment of professionalism and professional skills.

Dr Grace Leo Trainee Representative
Grace is a Paediatric Registrar at Sydney Children’s Hospital. She has a special interest in innovative medical education and is a keen advocate for improving the learning opportunities and experiences of trainees. Grace is an Executive Team Member for the non-profit, independent paediatric acute care educational group, Don’t Forget the Bubbles. She previously served for over 5 years on the organising committee for the Social Media and Critical Care conferences and on the inaugural team of the Australian Medical Student Journal, a student-led journal providing opportunities for students to showcase research and develop skills in academic writing.

Professor Matthew Links FRACP
Matthew is a medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Care Gold Coast and Alice Springs Hospital and Professor of Medicine at Bond University. He is an active member of the RACP Curriculum Advisory Group, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, and the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA). Matthew’s interests include education, quality improvement, and clinical research. He is passionate about improving patient care through education.

Dr Mick O’Keeffe FRACP
Mick began consultant life in 2002 as a community and general paediatrician. Since 2005, he has worked full time in developmental and behavioural paediatrics in public and private practice in metropolitan Brisbane. He is a member of the Advanced Training Committee in Community Child Health and was the Lead Fellow for the pilot of Entrustable Professional Activities in Community Child Health Advanced Training. Mick has a particular interest in medical education and postgraduate specialty training, including competency-based training and tailored, novel assessment methods. He completed a Master in Medical Education in 2011.

Dr Benjamin Rogers MBBS PhD FRACP
Ben is an infectious disease physician and clinical researcher at Monash Health and the Monash University School of Clinical Sciences. He supervises Basic Physician Trainees and Advanced Trainees in Infectious Diseases. Ben has been an active member of the RACP Curriculum Advisory Group since its inception in 2014.

Dr Paul Timmings FRACP
Paul is a Waikato based neurologist (Hamilton, New Zealand) and holds an Auckland University School of Medicine, Senior lecturer post. He has taken active roles in undergraduate, postgraduate year 1 and 2, registrar and GP teaching and has a busy clinical load. He maintains research interests and in 2013 completed his MD doctoral thesis on photosensitivity in epilepsy. Paul is a member of the Neurological Subcommittee of the NZ Pharmaceutical Management Agency, Chairman of the PHARMAC NPPA committee, member of the NZMOH epilepsy TAG, member of the RACP CAG, and helped develop the RACP Research Projects online resource.

Professor Tim Wilkinson FRACP
Tim is Professor in Medicine and Medical Education at the University of Otago. He has completed a Master of Clinical Education, a PhD on the educational impact of a change to standards-based assessment in a medical course, and an MD on programmatic assessment. He is a deputy editor of Medical Education and section editor of BMC Medical Education. He also works as a Consultant Geriatrician. Tim’s research interests are assessment of clinical competence and performance, workplace learning, selection into medical school, and professionalism.
