About the opportunity
- Fixed Term Temporary 3-year contract.
- A minimum of 40 hours per fortnight is required, negotiable up to 80 hours per fortnight full-time.
- There will be opportunity to re-apply for subsequent 3-year appointments.
- A permanent substantive position as a Staff Specialist may be negotiable for the successful candidate.
The Director of Cardiology plays a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical and non-clinical services to enhance patient care. This position encompasses innovative research and the education of future health professionals, fostering excellence in cardiac medicine.
The Director provides mentorship and guidance to Registrars and junior medical staff supporting their professional development within the department. This position will require the successful applicant to participate in outreach services which will require travel, including by light aircraft.
What’s on offer?
Pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $536,916 p.a., (Clinical Managers allowance is additional). Plus, all other applicable allowances/benefits relevant to position. Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available.
