The RACP Foundation awards International Grants of up to $15,000 to medical graduates or specialists from outside Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand who intend to further their knowledge in fields of medical education and research.

General eligibility
Grants are open to:
- international specialists visiting Australia and/or Aotearoa New Zealand to learn specific skills either at one or multiple centres
- international medical graduates or international specialists attending workshops or training courses, which we help fund in collaboration with an international institution
Applicants must:
- have support, including financial support, from their home institution or medical network
- be working on a project or in any field of study that:
- is able to have a direct impact on health outcomes in the proposed recipient’s home country
- aligns with the RACP priorities and policies
Your application must be sponsored by an RACP Fellow who has a proven relationship (including philanthropic or pro bono) with the institution or medical network that the proposed recipient belongs to.
College International Grant – Asia Pacific Region (Developing Countries)
The successful recipient can use the Grant to cover fares, accommodation and project or study costs.
Value: Up to AUD $10,000.
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, the:
- proposed recipient’s elected field or topic of medical education must be in any medical specialty area represented by the RACP
- sponsor must be a Fellow of the RACP

Paediatrics International Grant – Asia Pacific Region
The successful recipient can use the Grant to cover fares, accommodation and project or study costs.
Value: Up to AUD $15,000.
In addition to the general eligibility criteria, the:
- proposed recipient’s funding field or topic of medical education must be in the field of paediatrics
- sponsor must be a Fellow of the Paediatrics & Child Health Division

The Grant is made possible by contributions from members of the Paediatric and Child Health Division and the RACP.
Application process
The sponsor must complete and sign the application form.
Submit the application form and supporting documents in a single PDF file to foundation@racp.edu.au. Supporting documents include:
- letter of acknowledgment of support from your institution, including contact details and support being provided (financial, indemnification, other)
- letter of acknowledgment of support from the Australian sponsor, including contact details and support being provided (financial, on ground support, other)
- copy of the Terms and Conditions for International Grants signed by the sponsor
- copy of the Terms and Conditions for International Grants signed by the proposed recipient
- proof of medical insurance or indemnification while in Australia
- valid visa and/or other relevant immigration requirements
- consideration Statement (Optional) - briefly state any special considerations or extenuating circumstances or why the RACP should specifically fund this application (maximum 300 words)
Selection process
All applications are assessed by a panel comprised of RACP Fellows from the College Research Committee, the Grants Advisory Committee and a Divisional Representative.
The RACP Foundation will advise all applicants of the outcome of their application.
