Description

We're seeking a passionate and driven Hepatology Fellow to join our dynamic team. In this exciting role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality care through attendance at Liver Clinics, General Gastroenterology Clinics, and endoscopy lists.

You'll take a leadership role by chairing the Hepatocellular Carcinoma Multi-Disciplinary Meeting on a fortnightly basis, contributing to collaborative and patient-centred care planning. You'll also support ongoing hepatology research projects within the department, helping to advance clinical knowledge and improve outcomes.

The role includes assisting ward registrars with complex hepatology cases and participating in the on-call and inpatient consult roster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Fellow to deepen their expertise in hepatology while working within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

This is a 1-year (FTE 0.8) non-core training position. Salary MDP-2 $89,253 - $144,291 p.a. (pro rata) + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits

Primary objective of the role
  • attend Hepatology clinics and endoscopy lists
  • chair the HCC Multi-Disciplinary Meeting fortnightly
  • assist with Hepatology related research currently occurring in the department
  • assist ward registrars with complex Hepatology patients
  • participate in the on call and inpatient consults roster.

Essential qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent degree able to be registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Preferred qualifications
  • Completion of first 2 years of core Gastroenterology & Hepatology training
  • Completed Conjoint Committee Gastrointestinal Endoscopy/Colonoscopy requirements
  • Completed or nearly completed RACP Advanced Training Research Project
