We currently have vacancies in our Gunnedah and Mudgee office and we’re looking for someone ready to make a meaningful impact on the coal mining industry’s health and safety.
About the role
As a Medical Officer with CSH, you'll play a critical role in keeping mine workers safe and assist employers in managing workplace health risks.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Medical Assessments as per NSW Coal Order 43 and other related health assessments
- Coordinating lung health investigations to facilitate early detection and management of respiratory decline
- Providing detailed reports and referrals
- Providing preventative counselling and advice to coal mine workers and their employers on emerging occupational health issues
- Ensuring compliance with coal industry Acts and Regulations

Essential qualifications
Your education, experience and skills will include:
- AHPRA-recognised qualifications as a registered medical practitioner
- 4 years of post-internship experience (desirable)
- Strong general clinical skills (we will provide all required occupational health training for the role)
- A willingness to learn about statutory medicals and coal industry regulations
- Flexibility to occasionally travel between our offices (located in Singleton, Speers Point, Mudgee, Gunnedah and Lithgow) or mine sites (generally near these offices)
