The Medical Oncology Unit at Peter Mac includes world leading experts in multiple tumour types, and is supported by Australia’s largest cancer clinical trials unit. We invite applications to join our team as a Medical Oncology Clinical Fellow, tailored for Advanced Trainees completing or recently completed their Medical Oncology training, offering a unique blend of clinical trial expertise and specialised multidisciplinary cancer care.

To provide high quality patient treatment and care, contribute to a research program and participate in education

• Attendance to selected outpatient clinics and clinics in Day Ward
• Completes all patient related documentation according to the Centre’s needs
• Participates in after-hour and weekend cover roster for medical oncology
• Liaises and communicates with the multidisciplinary treating team
• Contributes to team meetings and educational activities
• Actively and regularly participates in peer review patient related activities
• Participates in departmental research projects and audits
• Works effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
• Close liaison with specialist members of the medical oncology Unit
• Follows hospital policies and procedures

Essential qualifications

• Medical Qualifications registerable by the Medical Board of Victoria
• Completed at least two core years of registrar level of training in medical oncology
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with medical staff and other disciplines
• Previous clinical trial experience an advantage
