About the role

Join our team within General Medicine. Support high-quality care within Southern Metropolitan Adelaide.

This role will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to medicine patients of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN), both through individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Duties will include:

• conducting ward rounds to plan, monitor and review the ongoing management and treatment of patients under their care
• providing appropriate clinical care to patients
• coordinating the follow-up care of patients
• ensuring comprehensive clinical records are maintained, documenting significant patient management decisions

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years from 2 February 2026.

Rotations will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to your classification, skills, and capabilities.

Essential qualifications

• you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
• ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff
• a commitment to providing a quality service to patients and their families
• ability to work as a member of a team
