Description
This position suits a General Practitioner or Senior Medical Officer – Rural Generalist (RACGP or ACRRM) – with experience in rural/remote healthcare.
You’ll provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care at Kilcoy Hospital, support day services (e.g. infusions, future dialysis), and participate in the on-call roster. Kilcoy Hospital has a 20-bed capacity, including palliative and rehabilitation services, and sees around 200 Emergency Care Centre presentations monthly.
The service is expanding, with growing Allied Health and telehealth services (e.g. Renal, Orthopaedic, HITH, Mental Health), and development opportunities at Caboolture Hospital, Woodford Correctional Centre, and more.
Essential qualifications
- Medical Board of Australia registration required
- FRACGP or FACRRM preferred, with FARGP or advanced rural generalist skills (Emergency, Internal Medicine, Indigenous Health, etc.) highly regarded
- Applicants must be in or progressing through a Fellowship training program
- Credentialing and a Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) must be awarded before starting
- CVs must account for all gaps in work or education history
